Dr. Shellie Sonnentag is a seasoned leader in long-term care, with over 28 years of experience as a dietician, registered nurse, nursing home administrator and an adult/geriatric nurse practitioner. She completed her baccalaureate degree in dietetics at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and baccalaureate degree in nursing at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. She completed her doctoral degree in adult/geriatric primary care at the University of Minnesota and holds specialty certifications in the MDS 3.0 as a RAC-CTA, and is both a wound care and QAPI certified professional. Aside from directing the executive level QAPI program and company policy development, Shellie supports clinical and nutritional service operations for all of the RPHF nursing homes and CBRF/RCAC’s. Shellie has served as an Education Committee chair for the Wisconsin Health Care Association for over 10 years and is currently co-chair of the Quality Advancement Committee for the Wisconsin Health Care Association/Wisconsin Center for Assisted Living, and a member of the advisory board for the Center for Health Systems Research & Analysis Clinical Resource Center.
